Construction Plans for New Central Technology Precinct
Software company Atlassian will be joined by three of the country’s top developers in building a cluster of towers that will serve as a technology precinct.
Atlassian’s Scott Farquhar and Mike Cannon-Brookes have led the push for the technology precinct.
The company is set to develop a $1bn hybrid timber tower. Property majors Dexus and Frasers will also be building an adjacent $2.5bn twin tower.
Atlassian will be the first anchor tenant of the precinct, supporting an estimated 400 jobs. The tower is set to finish by 2026.
The buildings hope to rejuvenate Central as one of the key areas to the Sydney CBD and establish Tech Central as a technology and innovation hub.
The precinct hopes to be fully powered by renewable energy.
